The Ultimate Cure For Cancer

50 years ago the humanity began the war against cancer. When the war against cancer began we were relying on chemotherapy as the main treatment for cancer. Now almost 50 years later we are still relying on chemotherapy as the main treatment for cancer. What is going on because we have spent billions of dollars on cancer research and yet we don't see to see the productive result of this investment. We are still relying on chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery as the main treatment against cancer. Inspite of spending all of these billion dollars and many years that has passed.
So what is going on with the cancer research. Is it possible that we approaching the cancer research in a wrong way.
Scientist are now working on the 2nd generation of cancer treatment once that are supposed to replace the chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
Two of the methods are approved last year
1- Immunothearpy
2- Gene Therapy

How Immune Therapy Works:

You take immune cell from a cancer patient and these are called T-cells. You sent them to a lab where they are genetically engineered to fight cancer and then you inject them into the patient few months later and the patient is cancer free. Many people and many scientist are of the view that immune therapy is the future of cancer treatment but I don't think so. There are 4 problems for this treatment

1- The first problem is that this treatment work against only one type of cancer which is called lymphoblastic leukemia but we all know that there are too many types of cancer to deal with.

2- The 2nd problem is that this treatment works only on people that are younger than 25 years and the problem is that cancer can strike at any age so this is the major drawback.

3- The 3rd problem is that this treatment is very expensive because the cost of immune therapy is 4,75,000$.

4- The 4th problem is that this treatment is not long time effective because the cancer cell doesn't respond to this treatment in the same way as they are responding today.

So we need the treatment that also work on the long run.

The Human Body is equipped with the natural defense system and it is working in your body right now and it is called DNA REPAIR MECHANISM.
When DNA makes copies of itself there are chances of errors called mutations and these mutations can be accelerated when you expose yourself to chemicals, radiations, or when you adopt unhealthy lifestyle or sometimes family history & genetics they also play a role. There are Proteins that are tasked with repairing these mutations as soon as they happen and this is also happening in your cells right now.  So what if there is a way by which we could enhance the cell's ability to repair DNA at a maximum efficiency and infact we could do that. We know about the Proteins which are involved in DNA REPAIR MECHANISM and we also know how to control them with the help of gene editing technique called CRISPR.
CRISPR is the most precised gene editing technique ever invented in human history and it is proving to be very efficient so we could use this technique to enhance the cell's ability to repair its DNA at all time and at all cost but there is one problem with this technique. If we want to protect you against all types of cancer then we have to make sure that entire body is genetically engineered that every cell is programmed to resist cancer and we can't do it in the adult human because your body consist of 37 trillion cells and that is impossible to engineer there isn't technology or a technique that can deliver gene to all this massive number of human cell but what if we could do it on the human embryo stage because human embryo has only 8 cells in the 3rd day after fertilization and we can infact engineer 8 cells of the human embryo and infact scientist are doing that. If these are allowed to develop into human adult then there is no chance of cancer in the person and it is called Embryonic Cancer Therapy which I believe could be the ultimate cure for cancer.
The interesting thing in the embryonic human therapy is that we have to only engineer 8 cells and these cells grow to become adult human with 37 trillion genetically modified engineered cells and only have to do it once with one generation because the future generation will already by default get this genetic change as we pass on so they will pass it on to the next generation. Another good thing about this treatment is that it is cost efficient and spend approximately 10-15,000$. So according to my point of view this is the best and ultimate cure for cancer.
